Torino Football Club

Torino is one of the most historic clubs in Italy and a symbol of the city of Turin. Rival of Juventus in the Derby della Mole, the club carries a history marked both by glory and tragedy. The Superga catastrophe in 1949 became an eternal mark in the memory of Italian football.

History

Founded in 1906, Torino dominated Italian football in the 1940s, winning five consecutive Serie A titles between 1943 and 1949. The Grande Torino, considered one of the greatest teams in football history, perished almost entirely in the Superga air disaster on May 4, 1949. The club rose again and won another Italian title in 1976. The legacy of the Grande Torino remains alive in the memory of the sport.
