History

Tucuruí Esporte Clube was born in the context of the city's population growth, driven by the construction of the Tucuruí Hydroelectric Power Plant starting from the 1970s. The club became a reference for amateur and semi-professional football in the interior of Pará. Throughout the following decades, the club participated in regional tournaments and, in specific seasons, competitions organized by the Pará Football Federation, alternating appearances with other traditional teams from the interior of Pará. The club maintains action linked to the local community, also functioning as a breeding ground for players in the region seeking opportunities in larger clubs in the state.
