The União Bandeirante was a club from the city of Bandeirantes, in northern Paraná, founded on November 15, 1964. Known as the Millionaire Youngster, it was five-time runner-up of the Paraná Championship and ceased operations in 2006.

History

The club was born on November 15, 1964 under the name Usina Bandeirante Football Club. After a merger with Guarani, from the same city, it became known as União Bandeirante. The team played its home matches at Comendador Luís Meneghel Stadium, with a capacity of 8,000 people, and had Matsubara as its main rival. Serafim Meneghel presided over the club for four decades. The União never won the Paraná Championship, but was runner-up in 1966, 1969, 1971, 1989, and 1992. In the 1992 final, it lost the title to Londrina. It also won the State Second Division in 1988 and 1992. On the national stage, it competed in the Copa do Brasil in 1990, when it was eliminated by São Paulo, and in 1993, when it fell to Grêmio. With financial difficulties, the club announced its closure in 2005 and ceased operations on August 4, 2006.
