Founded in Araras, in the interior of São Paulo, União São João Esporte Clube built over the decades a solid reputation as a developer of athletes, being one of the reference clubs in the region in São Paulo football's grassroots. Its trajectory is marked by seasons competing in the access divisions of the Campeonato Paulista, alternating between moments of prominence and periods of reconstruction, as is common with clubs from medium-sized cities in the interior.
