History

Founded in 1948, Unión La Calera represents the city of La Calera, a region historically linked to the cement industry, which gave rise to the nickname 'Cementeros'. The club alternated participations between the first and second divisions of Chilean football throughout its trajectory. In recent decades, the club has established itself as a regular competitor in the Primera División, surprising by achieving prominent positions and competing in continental tournaments organized by CONMEBOL in certain seasons. Its stadium, Nicolás Chahuán Nazar, is the club's home and hosts the home games in the city of La Calera.
