Club Atlético Unión
Traditional club from the city of Santa Fe, in Argentina, known for its historic rival Colón, with whom it disputes one of the hottest classics in the Argentine interior. It is experiencing one of the best moments in its recent history, marked by the conquest of its first national title.
History
Founded in 1907 in the city of Santa Fe, Club Atlético Unión is one of the most traditional clubs in the Argentine interior, protagonist alongside Colón of the classic known as 'Clásico Santafesino'. For decades, the club alternated seasons in the First Division with periods in the second division, without conquering titles of national significance. The scenario changed in 2019, when Unión won the Copa de la Superliga Argentina, an unprecedented title in the club's history, defeating Argentinos Juniors in the final. The conquest consolidated the work of sports restructuring promoted by the board and technical commission in previous years. Currently, Unión de Santa Fe remains as one of the most stable representatives of the Argentine interior in the first division, maintaining a loyal fan base and a historic rivalry with Colón that attracts great national attention at each confrontation.
