Vasco da Gama Women

Vasco da Gama's women's football program, based at the traditional São Januário stadium in Rio de Janeiro. The team represents the Rio de Janeiro-based club in pursuit of titles in Brazil's major women's football competitions.

History

Founded in 2005, Vasco's women's team quickly established itself as an important force in women's football in Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. Based at São Januário, the program has maintained a competitive tradition and development of young talent. The team regularly participates in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A Feminino and state competitions.
