Velo Clube Rioclarense

Velo Clube is one of the oldest clubs in São Paulo football, founded in the early twentieth century in the city of Rio Claro, in the interior of São Paulo.

History

Founded in 1917, Velo Clube Rioclarense is one of the most traditional and oldest football clubs in the state of São Paulo, having witnessed the very formation of organized football in the São Paulo interior. Nicknamed Veloso, the club built a strong identity with the city of Rio Claro, competing throughout its history in various editions of the São Paulo State Championship in its different divisions. Velo Clube plays its matches at Estádio Alfredo Marchiori, known as Nogueirao, the stage of traditional duels in São Paulo interior football.
