Vila Rica Esporte Clube

A club from Araguaína, Tocantins, that regularly competes in the divisions of the Tocantins State Championship, being one of the traditional teams in the interior of the state.

History

Founded in Araguaína, in northern Tocantins, Vila Rica Esporte Clube is one of the oldest organizations in the region, having witnessed the formation of organized local football before even the creation of the state of Tocantins in 1988. Over the decades, the club alternated participations between the first and second state divisions, contributing to the development of players from the northern region of the state. Today, Vila Rica continues as a representative of amateur and semi-professional football from Araguaína in competitions organized by the Tocantins Football Federation.
