Vitoria Football Club
Founded in 1912 on Principe Island, Vitoria FC is one of the most traditional clubs in Capixaba football, with a historic rivalry against Rio Branco-ES.
History
Vitoria Football Club was born in the early 20th century in Vila Velha, in Espirito Santo, becoming one of the pioneers of organized football in the state. Over the decades, it competed in countless editions of the Capixaba Championship, accumulating state titles and forming one of the oldest rivalries in Capixaba football, the classic against Rio Branco-ES. Despite not achieving great national prominence, the club maintained regional relevance, revealing players for larger teams in the country and preserving a loyal fan base in the Greater Vitoria area. At different moments in its history, it also competed in national access competitions, such as Serie D of the Brazilian Championship. Vitoria continues as one of the pillars of amateur and semi-professional football in Espirito Santo, with a focus on youth development and training athletes for the state scene.
