Vitória

Vitória de Salvador is one of the most traditional clubs in Bahia, founded in 1899 as a result of the merger of two historic clubs. An icon of Bahian football, the club maintains a large fanbase and regional importance.

History

Founded in 1899, Vitória emerged as a force in Bahia through successive state championship victories. In the 1950s and 1960s, it established itself as the traditional rival of Bahia, winning various titles in the Baian Championship. The club participated in editions of the Brazil Cup and the Brazilian Championship, representing Bahia in national competitions. Despite not winning significant national titles, it maintains an important presence in Bahian football and continues to mobilize a fervent fanbase.
