BSC Young Boys is the club from the Swiss capital, Bern, and one of the most traditional in the country. Founded in 1898, the club experienced a long drought of national titles before returning to the top with multiple consecutive championships starting in 2018. The Stade de Suisse, inaugurated in 2005, is a modern multi-purpose arena with a capacity of about 32,000 people.

History

Young Boys were Swiss champions for the last time in 1986 before entering a long period without national titles. In 2018, the club ended a 32-year drought and since then has won the Swiss championship consecutively for several years. In the 2021-22 season, the club made history by defeating Manchester United in the group stage of the Champions League. The club is one of the pillars of Swiss football and has developed generations of talented players for European football.
