Ypiranga Football Club
Ypiranga Football Club is one of the main clubs in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, with a strong tradition in football in the northern region of the state. It competes in state and national access competitions.
History
Founded in 1929 in the city of Erechim, Ypiranga built over the decades a solid tradition in football in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul. The club is one of the oldest and most respected in the northern region of the state, with recurring participations in the Gaucho Championship. In the 2010s and 2020s, the club began competing in national competitions more regularly, including Series D and Series C of the Brazilian Championship, gaining national visibility after standout seasons. Colosso da Lagoa, its stadium, is one of the main sports venues in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul and hosts matches with large crowds from the region.
